Según ha informado la compañía de Steve Jobs, de todo el catálogo disponible, el disco ‘Abbey Road’ ha sido el más vendido de la banda de Liverpool en Estados Unidos, mientras que la canción ‘Here comes the sun’ se ha convertido en la más descargada por los usuarios de iTunes.
El catálogo de The Beatles fue lanzado en iTunes, la mayor minorista digital a nivel mundial, por primera vez el 16 de noviembre, finalizando así años de negociaciones entre el fundador de Apple, Steve Jobs, la compañía promotora de The Beatles y el sello discográfico EMI.
Apple ha incluido los 13 álbumes de The Beatles remasterizados en estudio, los dos volúmenes de ‘Past Masters’, las recopilaciones y los clásicos discos ‘Red’ y ‘Blue’ en su catálogo. Apple también ofrece el recopilatorio ‘The Beatles Box Set’ que incluye en exclusiva para su servicio la película rodada durante el concierto que la banda dio en el Coliseo de Washington en 1964.
