Toshiba ha lanzado al mercado una versión de su solución Toshiba Media Controller (TMC) para iPhone e iPod Touch de Apple denominada iTCM.
Esta aplicación gestiona de manera sencilla e intuitiva los archivos multimedia (fotos, videos, música) entre los distintos dispositivos conectados en una red Wi-Fi doméstica y que cumplan el estándar DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance).
iTMC navega remotamente por bibliotecas multimedia
La aplicación iTMC identifica y muestra de manera automática todos los dispositivos conectados en la red, asignando el papel que tienen dentro de ella, o bien como servidores de los contenidos o bien como reproductores. De esta manera, el usuario puede navegar por las bibliotecas de archivos de los servidores, buscar música, película o álbumes fotográficos y transmitirlos hacia el dispositivo que quiere utilizar para visualizar, por ejemplo, el televisor.
iTMC controla flujos multimedia
Como si se tratara de un mando a distancia, el iTMC permite la reproducción mediante botones específicos y apropiados para cada tipo de archivo (por ejemplo, reproducir, parar, pausa, avance rápido, rebobinado). Incluso el volumen se puede gestionar de forma remota.
Además con iTMC los usuarios pueden gestionar a su antojo sus archivos multimedia, pudiendo recopilarlos, clasificarlos y almacenarlos en el dispositivo que deseen. La aplicación también proporciona una visión general del estado de todos los dispositivos con capacidad DLNA conectados a la red doméstica.
La aplicación está ya disponible para su descarga gratuita en la Apple App Store en inglés y próximamente se irán añadiendo versiones en otros idiomas.
