El área informática del Congreso está sometiendo a pruebas el iPhone 3G por si finalmente se decide ofrecer o no a partir de septiembre este teléfono a los diputados como alternativa a la Blackberry, según se informó a Europa Press en fuentes parlamentarias.
La Mesa de la Cámara Baja ha decidido este lunes abrir un plazo en septiembre con el fin de proceder a la anunciada renovación de los teléfonos móviles de los diputados, para lo cual Movistar, que posee un contrato con el Congreso con un presupuesto anual de unos 400.000 euros, les ha ofrecido inicialmente dos alternativas: el iPhone o la Blackberry.
No obstante, dado que el último modelo de iPhone (el 4) no se comercializará en España hasta el próximo 30 de julio, los servicios informáticos del Congreso están realizando pruebas con el 3G para estudiar cómo adaptarlo a las necesidades de los diputados. Entre otras cuestiones, los nuevos aparatos deben tener la certificación de la firma electrónica para permitir a los diputados presentar sus iniciativas parlamentarias.
En todo caso, no será hasta septiembre cuando Movistar, la operadora con la que se trabaja desde la pasada legislatura y que cubre tanto la telefonía móvil como la fija e Internet, decida qué modelo de los que están en el mercado ofrecerá a sus señorías.
Se da por hecho que la ‘Blackberry’ estará en la oferta y serán las pruebas que se realicen las que determinen si la alternativa es el iPhone 3G, el 4, que parece más improbable por los retrasos en su comercialización, o cualquier otra marca del mercado.
Según aseguraron a Europa Press fuentes de la Cámara Baja, la renovación de móviles no supondrá ningún coste adicional para el Congreso, sino que está contemplada en el contrato global de telefonía con Movistar.
Dicho contrato fue renovado el pasado mes de abril después de que Movistar ofreciera como mejora adicional, para garantizarse su continuidad, la sustitución de los terminales de telefonía móvil. Las citadas fuentes aseguraron entonces que la renovación conllevó incluso un ahorro del presupuesto global.
