Las dos operadoras se preparan para el lanzamiento del iPad en España ofreciendo tarifas planas de navegación aunque como ya es habitual con un limite en el tráfico máximo mensual. Superado este disminuirá la velocidad en la navegación sin que represente un aumento en la factura final que el usuario deberá abonar a la operadora.
Movistar
Para los nuevos clientes de iPad, movistar tendrá un completo portfolio de tarifas planas de datos o planes de datos de prepago para conectar su dispositivo a la red de la operadora desde sólo 15 euros al mes.
Así, Movistar ofrecerá tres tarifas planas de datos ilimitadas -que reducirían la velocidad de conexión al superar cierto volumen de descarga de megas-.
La tarifa plana de 15 euros tendrá una capacidad de hasta 200 MB; 1 GB tendrá la tarifa de 25 euros; y hasta 5 GB la de 39 euros. La opción de prepago ofrecerá pago por uso (3 euros por 30 MB), y el cliente también podrá optar por comprar un bono mensual de 1 GB por 49 euros.
Los usuarios de movistar que ya dispongan de un iPhone u otro smartphone de movistar con tarifa plana de datos 25 o 39 euros, y compren un iPad, podrán solicitar de forma gratuita una segunda tarjeta SIM -en este caso el nuevo formato de tarjeta microSIM- para usarla y conectarse a Internet con su iPad. Por tanto, estos clientes podrán así utilizar su tarifa plana de datos para conectarse desde su iPhone, su smartphone o su iPad.
Por su parte, aquellos clientes de movistar que tengan la tarifa plana de datos de 15 euros en su iPhone, o en otro smartphone de movistar, podrán migrar a otra tarifa plana de 25 o 39 euros, y conseguirán así de forma gratuita la segunda tarjeta SIM -microSIM-, que podrán utilizar indistintamente en el iPad, iPhone o smartphone.

Orange
Orange ha diseñado dos tarifas prepago, ambas sin compromiso de permanencia, especialmente pensadas para el Ipad. La primera es una tarifa diaria, destinada para clientes que hagan un uso esporádico de la navegación desde el Ipad (de esta forma, el usuario sólo paga por el día que usa la conexión). La segunda tarifa es de periodicidad mensual y está especialmente indicada para clientes que vayan a hacer un uso intensivo del acceso a Internet desde este dispositivo.
Ambas tarifas permitirán un acceso ilimitado a Internet gracias a la red de banda ancha móvil HSDPA de Orange, con la ventaja adicional para el usuario de contar con una tarifa de precio cerrado, con lo que evitará las sorpresas en su factura. Orange y Apple han optado por la modalidad prepago, ya que ofrece más flexibilidad al cliente, al no implicar compromiso por su parte ni necesitar la firma de un contrato.
Los precios de los dos nuevos planes son 3,5 € en el caso de la tarifa diaria y 35 € en el de la mensual. Ambos precios incluyen ya impuestos indirectos.
Este dispositivo dispone de un nuevo formato de tarjeta SIM, denominado microSIM, que podrá ser adquirida desde el lanzamiento del dispositivo en todas las tiendas Orange, a través del portal orange.es o en los distribuidores autorizados de Apple. Simplemente insertando la microSIM en el iPad, y con su plan de precios de Orange, el cliente podrá disfrutar de la mejor experiencia de navegación desde el primer momento.

Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.
