Google lo tiene fácil para ser el buscador de referencia en el iPhone: es el preinstalado en el navegador Safari en el dispositivo. Por eso Yahoo! ha trabajado en una nueva completa aplicación para el dispositivo.
La aplicación ya está disponible en iTunes (http://itunes.apple.com/es/app/yahoo-search/id361071600?mt=8) de forma gratuita en 21 mercados en Norte América, Latinoamérica, Europa y Asia y, promete la compañía, “seguirá expandiéndose a más mercados”.
Yahoo! ha detallado cuáles son las novedades de la aplicación, entre las que destacan la búsqueda por voz -que Google aún no ha habilitado en castellano- y un historioal de búsqueda inteligente:

- Resultados rápidos: Consigue resultados, detalles de un vistazo y también sugerencias inmediatas según escribes con el asistente Yahoo! Search Assist.
- Atajos locales: Los mapas integrados y la tecnología de posición perfeccionan los resultados basados en tu ubicación. Te permite llamar a un negocio o conseguir indicaciones con un simple clic, todo sin abandonar los resultados.
- Rico contenido Local: Ver fotos, clasificaciones, números de teléfono y más desde Yahoo! Local, Yelp! y CitySearch.
- Ricos resultados: Busca resultados que incluyan contenido útil específico desde Yahoo! Deportes, Yahoo! Noticias, Yahoo! Finanzas, Yahoo! Cine y desde otros proveedores que te dan las respuestas que estás buscando, no links sin sentido.
- Búsqueda por voz integrada: No escribas_solo di tu pregunta y haz que tu consulta sea fácil y rápida
- Inteligente historial de búsqueda: Accede rápido a las búsquedas recientes y a los negocios locales.
