Motolabs, una firma independiente, examinó las pantallas táctiles de los distintos terminales del mercado concluyendo que la del iPhone se encuentra muy por encima de la de sus competidores.
El test consistió en registrar, a través de un software, el trazo que dejaba un robot especialmente diseñado para imitar un dedo, pero con más precisión, y aplicando diferente presión.
En esta ocasión se consideraron seis modelos: el iPhone, el Palm Pre, El Motorola Droid, el BlackBerry Storm 2, el HTC Droid Eris y el Nexus One.
En todas las pruebas el iPhone fue superior, calificando casi como perfecto, tanto en los intentos con una presión media, como con una presión muy ligera. La pantalla seguía respondiendo bien.
Por el contrario, los peor evaluados fueron el Motorola Droid, el BlackBerry Storm 2, y la Palm Pre, sobre todo en la prueba donde había menos presión sobre la pantalla, porque en la prueba de presión media, se ubica inmediatamente detrás del iPhone.
Este estudio llega para completar otro realizado también por Moto Labs, donde evidentemente, el iPhone también sobresalió de sus competidores, aunque ahora su desempeño fue aún mejor.
“Si piensan que ninguna otra pantalla táctil es mejor que la del iPhone, no es algo que esté solo en su cabeza”, dijo Chris Verplaetse, vicepresidente de Moto Development Gruop al sitio Wired. “Es como preguntar qué hace que la puerta de un Mercedes cierre como la de un Mercedes y la puerta de un Hyundai cierre como lo hace, aunque usan el mismo material”, dijo en referencia a que los fabricantes tienen por lo general, a los mismos proveedores.
La característica principal de la pantalla del iPhone, explica Wired, es que no es sensible a la presión, sino que su tecnología responde a las propiedades eléctricas de la piel.
