El modelo más económico de la familia, el iPad de 16 GB de memoria flash, tiene un coste de componentes de 219,25 más 10 dólares de mano de obra. Este dispositivo llegará al mercado al precio de 499 dólares.
Por su parte el más alto de la gama, el iPad de 64 GB cuesta 335 dólares y su precio de venta está fijado en 699 dólares sin conexión 3G.
El amplio margen facilitaría una posible disminución de los precios antes de la campaña navideña tal como apuntan los rumores sin que esto representará un agujero en las finanzas de la empresa.
