La compañía noruega Opera Software anunció que lanzará la próxima semana una versión de su explorador Mini para el iPhone, de Apple, que ofrece mayor velocidad de descargas.
Opera explicó que el explorador ofrecerá a los consumidores una velocidad que sextuplicaría a la de la propia Apple y recortaría el tráfico de datos hasta un 90 por ciento.
La circulación masiva de datos en los teléfonos iPhone ha causado problemas para muchas redes de operador. Algunos analistas dijeron que Apple podría tratar de frenar el acceso de sus rivales al iPhone, dado que el fenómeno del explorador ha sido una herramienta clave para el éxito del dispositivo.
“Esta es una maniobra provocativa de Opera que resultará en un ejercicio de relaciones públicas engañoso y de alto perfil para Apple si decidiera no permitir que el miniexplorador de Opera entre en las tiendas App (de Apple)”, dijo el analista de CCS Insight Geoff Blaber.
Opera indicó que no veía ninguna razón por la que su explorador, el más usado a nivel mundial en los teléfonos móviles, fuera rechazado. “No lo hemos entregado aún a la tienda App de Apple.
