Una aplicación gratuita para el iPhone y el iPod Touch, Sonos Zone PLayerS5, permitirá a cualquier usuario cambiar de canción en una habitación distinta de la que está, simplemente gracias a un sistema de red inalámbrica por todo el hogar.
Esta herramienta, que se puede descargar en la tienda App Store en pocos segundos, interconecta a los dispositivos Sonos Zone Player de las distintas habitaciones. Basta con tocar la pantalla, elegir una habitación, elegir una canción y, finalmente, tocar levemente en la opción para reproducirla.
Así, el usuario puede buscar su canción o su emisora perferida en la pantalla táctil o elegir una de sus listas de reproducciones de ‘iTunes’. Las opciones permiten controlar el volumen habitación por habitación o, por el contrario, establecer un volumen similar para toda la casa.
El precio de esta aplicación es de 400 dólares (270 euros) e incluye el receptor ‘wireless’ y los altavoces –cinco en total– en una caja, según recoge ‘Portaltic.es’ de ‘The New York Times’. A pesar de que esta edición no incluye un enchufe como la anterior, sí que permite la opción de reproducir el catálogo musical en el Mac o PC.
