La nueva generación del conocido teléfono móvil de Apple, iPhone 3GS, ha visto superadas las expectativas de ventas de la compañía y está provocando retrasos en algunos distribuidores.
Según Gene Munster, analista del banco de inversión Piper Jaffray, estas son buenas noticias para los accionistas de la empresa.
Este lunes la compañía de Steve Jobs publicará los resultados económicos del tercer trimeste del año y se espera que sean superiores a lo estimado gracias a las ventas del iPhone, que puede alcanzar las 7.500.000 unidades vendidas este cuarto.
Esta gran acogida, sin embargo, ha causado retrasos en el suministro de terminales en todo el mundo. Como ha decladrado el consejero delegado de la operadora italiana 3: "Se están vendiendo 20.000 unidades al mes cuando, si el suministro fuese adecuado, las ventas podrían alcanzar el doble".
En cualquier caso, esto no deja de ser una buena noticia para Apple ya que como afirma Munster "aunque este sea un problema ahora, son buenas noticias a largo plazo ya que la demanda mundial del iPhone 3GS parece fuerte y constante".
