La National Gallery londinense ha lanzado una aplicación para el iPhone y el iTouch que desde la propia pinacoteca describen como la primera iniciativa de este tipo para un museo, y que permite al usuario admirar hasta 250 pinturas de su colección, acompañada de audio y vídeo.
Este paseo interactivo por el museo, al que han definido no sin cierto toque de originalidad como ‘Love Art’, atraviesa 12 espacios temáticos donde los usuarios pueden disfrutar de una selección de las pinturas más importantes del museo entre las que se encuentran piezas de Leonardo da Vinci, Vincent van Gogh, Rembrandt, Renoir y Botticelli.
“Diseñada para atraer a los amantes y aficionados del arte, esta aplicación es la primera de su tipo en ser lanzado por un gran museo”, señala la National Gallery en un comunicado de prensa, y añade que será gratis por un período limitado.
Además del audio y el vídeo la aplicación incluye entrevistas con el director de museo, Nicholas Penny, o con la estadounidense Tracy Chevalier, autora de la novela “La joven de la perla “. Los usuarios pueden ampliar las imágenes sobre el lienzo para observar los detalles de las obras de los grandes maestros.
