Una consultora realizó un estudio comparativo entre Blackberry, iPhone y varios equipos que corren con Windows Mobile para detectar cuál de todos es más resistente al robo de información.
Según la empresa, RIM sería la compañía que ofrece una protección más robusta, tanto a nivel de dispositivo, de red y de transmisión de los datos. El informe revisó estos tres items valorando en una escala de 0 a 4.
En este sentido, la compañía canadiense RIM logró la puntuación máxima en términos globales, mientras que Windows Mobile obtuvo un 3 sobre 4. Apple, quizás la marca más ruidosa de todas, y tal vez la más compleja en términos técnicos, quedó en último lugar con un preocupante 1 sobre 4.
“El iPhone original experimentó diversos agujeros de seguridad que se mejoraron considerablemente con la siguiente versión lanzada en julio de 2008”, dijo Maribel López, analista de Forrester y máxima responsable de la firma Lopez Research, responsable del estudio.
“Las empresas deberían proceder con cautela a la hora de decantarse por el iPhone en el uso corporativo, especialmente cuando se transmiten datos importantes para ellas”, añadió.
Como dijimos arriba, Microsoft quedó en segundo lugar, destacando que lidera la infraestructura existente, como es el caso del Directorio Activo, proporcionando a los responsables de IT “unas herramientas y capacidades muy familiares”.
Al contrario que otras compañías, que pasaron por alto determinados aspectos de la seguridad, “RIM ofrece el sistema de protección más robusta, tanto a nivel de dispositivo, de red y de transmisión de los datos”, aseguró López.
