Apple ha anunciado que los clientes han descargado 1.000 millones de aplicaciones de su App Store. La aplicación número 1.000 millones, Bump -creada por Bump Technologies-, fue descargada por Connor Mulcahey, de 13 años, de la localidad de Weston (Connecticut, EEUU). Como ganador del gran premio del concurso organizado por Apple para celebrar los 1.000 millones de aplicaciones, Connor recibirá una tarjeta de regalo iTunes de 10.000 dólares, un iPod touch, un Time Capsule y un MacBook Pro.
“La revolucionaria App Store ha tenido un fenomenal éxito entre los usuarios de iPhone e iPod touch de todo el mundo, y queremos agradecer a nuestros clientes y desarrolladores su ayuda para alcanzar el asombroso hito de 1.000 millones de aplicaciones descargadas”, ha dicho el vicepresidente de marketing de producto de Apple, Philip Schiller. “En nueve meses, la App Store ha revolucionado por completo la industria del móvil y esto es sólo el principio”.
