Tres meses después de que Telefónica lanzara al mercado el deseado iPhone 3G, la operadora holandesa Simyo cuelga en su página web una oferta en la que el terminal de Apple se puede conseguir libre y por 599 euros.
Las existencias del táctil de Apple se han agotado en pocas horas, aunque Simyo ha asegurado que mantendrá la oferta en cuanto reciba más terminales.
La posibilidad de hacerse con el iPhone por ese precio y sin ningún tipo de contrato de permanencia con la empresa resulta muy atractiva para quienes desean manejar ya el nuevo móvil con pantalla táctil.
Sin embargo, Telefónica no ha tardado en responder que el monopolio sobre el aparato sigue vigente y que ninguna otra operadora puede vender el iPhone 3G en España.
Más aún, los responsables de la compañían amenazan, incluso, con una demanda. Telefónica, que comercializa en exclusiva desde julio el iPhone, estima que este móvil representará este año la mitad de las ventas globales de PDAs en el mercado, incluyendo en este segmento los terminales con sistema operativo Windows Mobile (como el Samsung Omnia) y los dispositivos de Apple, Blackberry y Palm. Unas cifras a las que no está dispuesta a renunciar.
