En un blog , Hoffman habla de las posibles consecuencias de estos fallos. Por ejemplo, un pirata podría mostrar que un visitante ha llamado a un número embarazoso, como de contactos, aunque sea falso y puede obligarle a hacer una determinada llamada haciendo que tenga que apagar bruscamente el aparato, con la posible pérdida de datos que conllevaría.
